Quron Clark

About My Career

Quron Clarks, born in Little Rock, Arkansas, fell in love with the art of movement at the age of 7. His passion for dance ignited in the vibrant heart of Los Angeles, setting him on a path that would blend raw talent with world-class training. By 2014, Quron had graduated from the prestigious Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, where he immersed himself in the energy of modern and contemporary dance while forging a deep-rooted connection to the powerful techniques of the African diaspora at the Lula Washington Dance Theatre School.

Determined to broaden his horizons, Quron ventured to Spain, where he became the first American to graduate as valedictorian from the Institute of the Arts Barcelona in 2017. There, his artistry flourished as he collaborated with luminaries like Bonnie Story, Eva Martz, and Vincent Gros, gaining a global perspective that infused his dance with new depth and storytelling. Performing with five professional companies and engaging in commercial projects, Quron’s work began to blur the boundaries between the classical and the cutting edge.

After his European chapter, Quron embarked on an extraordinary adventure across the seas, performing aboard Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Creative Studios’ world-class productions. But the pulse of Los Angeles—its vibrant rhythms, its bold, unapologetic energy—called him home. He realized a lifelong dream by joining the Lula Washington Dance Theatre as a Principal Dancer, where his artistry took center stage until 2022. As a sought-after performer, Quron continues collaborating with renowned Los Angeles companies, including Bernard Brown/BB Moves, seamlessly blending innovation with tradition.

Now, Quron channels his passion for storytelling into teaching and choreography. As a faculty member at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, he shapes the next generation of artists, not just through technique but by fostering a deep sense of expression and cultural awareness. His choreography, a robust synthesis of his diverse experiences, has been featured at the Upsurge Dance Festival and on celebrated programs with Francisco Gella, Robyn Gardenhire, Vincente Nebrada, and the late Don Martin. Quron aims to leave an indelible mark with every work he creates, inspiring dancers to push boundaries and embrace the art form’s transformative power.
