Administrative Assistant & Tap Instructor
Roshada Baldwin
About My Career
With over 30 years of experience in dance education and studio management, Roshada Baldwin brings a rare blend of artistry, structure, and operational expertise to every space she supports.
A native of Los Angeles, Roshada began dancing at the Lula Washington Dance Theatre (LWDT) at just three years old. She progressed through every level of the program—from the Children’s and Youth Ensembles to becoming an Apprentice with the LWDT Professional Company—developing a deep understanding of performance, discipline, and community.
At only 16 years old, Roshada began teaching dance, sharing her knowledge across multiple genres including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, and African. Her approach emphasizes both technical growth and personal confidence, helping students of all ages connect with their creativity.
In addition to her artistry, Roshada spent over two decades as Studio Manager at Lula Washington Dance Theatre, where she oversaw day-to-day operations, event coordination, parent communications, and youth program development. Her leadership helped create a strong foundation that supported both the school’s mission and its dancers’ success.
Her professional background also includes her role as a Senior Office Technician with the Los Angeles Unified School District, where she honed her skills in administrative systems, student support, and organizational efficiency.
Today, as an Administrative Assistant and Dance Instructor, Roshada continues to inspire students while also extending her expertise beyond the classroom. She now offers her experience as an Operations and Communications Consultant, helping other studios strengthen their organizational systems, enhance communication with parents and staff, and design meaningful programs and events.
